AER welcomes RS to the Spring Bureau Meeting & General Assembly in Larnaca
Multiple times per year, the Assembly of European Regions (AER) brings together regions, so that they may stand stronger together, and grow in a space of best practice exchange. The Spring 2019 General Assembly and the Bureau meeting took place on 5-6 June 2019 in Larnaca, Cyprus.
In addition to the adoption of the new AER Statute and the adoption of the report on work of the working bodies of this organization, there was also an opportunity to discuss the greater role of the region in the creation of pan-European and global politics, as well as the benefits of cooperation of the region, from which, on the basis of common characteristics and needs, each body can fulfill it's own interests.
The Republic of Srpska actively participated in the work of the the Bureau meeting supporting the priority goals of the regions both, in and outside the EU, with the primary aim of harmonizing and developing cooperation within the EU.
The Assembly of European Regions (AER) is the largest independent network of regions in wider Europe, gathering regions from 35 countries – from Norway to Turkey and from Russia to Portugal.
AER is present everywhere on the European continent, inside and outside the European Union.
