Republic of Srpska European Funds Day: Unlocking Opportunities for Digital Transformation

The Republic of Srpska Representation in Brussels, in cooperation with the Ministry for European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, successfully organized the workshop “Republic of Srpska European Funds Day: Unlocking Opportunities for Digital Transformation” in Banja Luka.

Held in the packed conference room of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, the workshop brought together key stakeholders from various sectors to explore opportunities for digital transformation through EU funding programs. The event provided an excellent platform to discuss how Republika Srpska can leverage European funds to advance digitalization, strengthen infrastructure, and enhance innovation across industries.

A special focus was placed on EU Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programs, two major funding instruments supporting research, innovation, and education. Marko Paunović from Out of the Box International and Biljana Basarin from the University of Novi Sad played a pivotal role in guiding participants through the capacity-building potential of these programs, particularly in the fields of education and technology.

The workshop also provided an overview of relevant EU calls that aim to further integrate digital technologies and improve infrastructure, opening up new funding possibilities for local businesses, academic institutions, and public sector organizations.

By bringing together EU funding experts, policymakers, and industry representatives, this event reaffirmed the commitment of the Republic of Srpska to digital transformation and cross-border collaboration.
